Title: First go at B&W!
Description: Something from the flower show at hampton court, and my first attempt at black & white. Wish the sign wasn't in there, but at least you can see what colour it used to be smile

Did you take the shot in B&W? I've found that sometimes it's better to take it in colour and edit it on your comp, mainly because you get a better effect from playing around with the contrast, shadows and highlights as well as the saturation. That way you do get black and white and the shades in between are much more distinguished smile

I would have kept the main guy in colour and the rest in blk&whi. Never do black and white flowers...There in colour for a reason and dogs just like to piss on them cos that's what they see...i'm told!
