What are enhanced accounts for?

There are members and visitors to the site that just visit to browse and not take part. That's perfectly OK; in fact the site's specifically designed so that you don't have to be a member to enjoy it.
However, it's the people that take part in the community of this site that make it worth visiting. These members fill the gallery with their photos, post to the forums, write blogs, add comments and so on. We want these members to feel that their input is appreciated, so that's why we have an enhanced account.

Enhanced accounts are awarded to those members that contribute to the site, and give them further benefits which will hopefully make the site even more fun to use.

What do you get?

Enhanced accounts give you:

Unlimited viewing credits for the gallery.
Store up to 300 active photos in your portfolio, up from 150.
Place up to 20 photos in the gallery each day, up from 10.
View extra information on other members in their portfolios.
A 'similar members' link on members' portfolios, letting you find members with similar profiles in the members directory.
Extra search options in the members directory.
Create up to 30 challenges per year, up from 10.
Add formatting to your posts and comments.
Even fewer adverts.

How can I get one?

There are two ways to get an enhanced account. You can subscribe to a gold account for a small yearly fee. You'll get the enhanced account features and much more besides.

Alternatively you can get one for free just by using the website!

When you contribute to the site in a certain way you get given some points towards your site score. These points last for a certain amount of time, and if you manage to get the total of your points to reach a certain score, your enhanced account is activated for a number of days. Just keep your points total over that target score to maintain your enhanced account.
This simply means that if you post a couple of photos, add comments, write a blog etc. on a regular basis then you should easily get yourself an enhanced account.
