HDR

I though I'd give that HDR a try. It took absolutely ages to get a decent result with the tone mapping to get the final JPEG image. Ages!

I think the end result of an HDR photo is very clever, but a lot of fun I have with photography is trying to capture dramatic contrasts, and HDR really isn't suitable for that.

I'll have to try the sunrise/sunset photos that were suggested elsewhere. I might try that out with the windmill next door, even if the builders were inconsiderate enough to build it so that the sun never seems to be shining on the side of it I'd prefer it too. Boo to those windmill builders. Boo.

Great idea to experiment like this. Like you I think about 95% of HDR shots look more computer generated than photography, but that other 5% generally look absolutely stunning.
