Water Drops

Such a simple idea - put a camera on a tripod, point it at some drips hitting some water and capture the resulting water drops. So simple and yet so frustrating and so addictive.....

But now I can't just think about water drops - what about that classic "crown" splash from milk? What would a drop of tomato sauce look like splashing into a puddle of sauce? How can I set up some paint drops, without the other half killing me? I think I need to get out and about with my camera before my droplet addiction gets out of hand........

I'm tempted to try myself. If only I had a macro lens!
Another question that springs to mind; what would a water droplet photo look like using a polarising filter?

You don't need a macro lens - in theory any lens at all is usable, just a case of getting the focus set up properly.
And as for a polarising lens, ummmmm, now there's something to play with.......

I'll be watching out for the posted results - be careful though, it can be addictive!!
