Timing is everythingIt was a sunny day, I had the day off work, so I loaded up my camera equipment and headed off to my favourite haunts to try to get some more shots of birds.
Only problem is no one told the birds that I was coming, and everywhere I went either the birds were in boring poses, asleep or just not there.
So I returned home, and pulled into my driveway, to be greeted by a flurry of feathers - and the sight of a sparrow hawk eating a pigeon.
So out comes the camera, I swear as the battery dies, replace the battery and snap off some pictures before the sparrow hawk decides he's had enough of me interferring with his meal and awkwardly flies off, carrying a bird larger than he was!
So, planning isn't everything, sometimes just being lucky and being in the right place at the right time will get you the pictures you're after.....
