I have a cold.I have often been amazed at the human nasal (or, I suppose, the sinal) capacity.
Frankly the amount of stuff that can come from up there in a single explosive discharge is phenomenal. Do drug-runners ever take advantage of such handy storage space, I wonder?
With the miniaturisation of communications devices these days, surely it wouldn't be too much of a challenge to develop a nasal mobile phone that could be permanently lodged up your nose? Perhaps the ringtone could be a satisfying honking noise. Silent mode could be activated by twitching one's nose, bringing about an entire culture that goes around often doing impersonations of that woman one off of Bewitched.
The need to recharge would allow for many amusing situations in which, somehow, or noses are tethered to the mains.
Setting your phone to vibrate, in conjunction with a cold such as I am currently suffering from, would probably result in spectacular discharges.
My plea goes out to mobile phone manufacturers; instead of producing hordes of near-identical handsets, please show a little bit of imagination and develop something we'd all have no hesitation in sticking up our nose.
